I don't know if it's just the total devastation alone or also the fact that this could happen in Victoria and we'll probably need the help one day but I felt I should offer an additional avenue for us to help out with the Haiti relief effort. 

As you know Haiti has been hit with a major earthquake as well as multiple aftershocks. The destruction and chaos is total. You can see the Dailymail (UK)  pictures and news report here. Be warned, this article contains graphic photos that are hard to look at.
